Point of View is bankrupt

On Tuesday, the court of East Brabant pronounced the bankruptcy of Point of View. The Eindhoven-based company was mainly known as a manufacturer of video cards, but has tried to tap into other markets in recent years.

The bankruptcy judgment of Point of View BV has been published in the insolvency register. The company operated under the names Bestcom, Point Of View Graphics, Point Of View Asia and Point Of View International.

Point of View was founded in 2000 and became best known as an Nvidia partner. The GeForce card market gradually became less lucrative for the company, after which Point of View began exploring other product categories.

The company also released laptops and tablets from 2009 under the Mobii brand. Recently, quadcopters and smart lighting were added to this. Point of View did not release a video card for the last GeForce GTX 1000 Series.
