Pocophone F1 and other Xiaomi phones get better Google Lens integration
Xiaomi smartphones get Google Lens in their camera apps. That means users of these phones no longer have to navigate to the standalone Google Lens app to take advantage of those features.
The update applies to the Pocophone F1 and the Redmi Note 7 series. The Redmi Y2 is also eligible, but only with beta Miui ROMs. The update must already have been propagated, so whoever has the right device and has the Google Lens app on their phone, can find the Lens function in the Mi camera app, in the menu at the top right.
With Google lens, users can take actions based on texts, such as phone numbers or email addresses, or perform a visual search. For example, more images of an object can be searched for and the object can even be identified by Google-ai. For example, a dog can be told what breed it is, or a flower can be named.
