PlayStation users can’t play online due to PSN outage

The PlayStation Network has an outage on Tuesday evening that prevents PlayStation owners from playing online. Sony has been reporting the malfunction since 5:43 PM and says it is working on a solution.

It’s not clear why the PlayStation Network is experiencing problems, but downtime is not a cause of scheduled maintenance. Sony has been reporting technical issues on its status page since 5:43 PM.

Sony’s status page indicates that a solution is being worked on, but it is not clear when the servers will be working properly again. On Twitter, Sony about two hours after the start of the malfunction, it is not yet known when a solution will be available.
