PlayStation is stopping its good behavior award because no one is using it
PlayStation announces that the PlayStation 5 feature to hand out awards to fellow players will disappear. The intention is that the so-called ‘braces’ will be deactivated this fall.
Sony announces discontinuation of braces at its website. The awards were added with the launch of the PlayStation 5. The feature allows players to give each other positive feedback in the form of awards during multiplayer sessions. One award could be awarded to a fellow player per game. Obtained awards can be shown on the player’s profile.
According to Sony, the functionality was used so little that it makes no sense to keep the functionality in the air. Sony had expected players to send each other positive feedback more often through the braces system. Sony has not announced when exactly the braces will disappear. The company only says that it will happen “sometime this fall”.
