PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting a training mode
PUBG’s developer is likely to add a training mode to the game in September. This mode goes beyond a simple shooting range; there will be a completely new map with, for example, also a race track and a practice area for skydiving.
The training mode is added in the form of a map of two by two kilometers. In addition to a shooting range for short and long ranges, there are also practice areas for throwing grenades and Molotov cocktails, the use of percussion and stabbing weapons and for free running. There is also a parachute practice area and race tracks including an off-road course and a stunt section for making jumps, for example.
With all these parts, PUBG Corporation, the developer of the game, aims to help new players master the basics and advanced players to further improve their skills. Such a training mode has been lacking until now.
The shooter’s developer reports that it has set a goal to release the training mode in September, but whether the company will meet that deadline is unknown. The map that will be the stage for the rehearsal fest can accommodate five to twenty players and can be accessed via the solo queue. It probably won’t be a static folder; the developer says there is room left to add new areas and ideas from players in the future.
The new training mode is part of Fix PUBG for PC. That is the name of a recently announced campaign by the company with which the developer aims to fix all kinds of issues and bugs in the game in three months.
