PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Hits 1 Million Players at Peak Time

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds now has just over a million players at a time at its peak. The multiplayer shooter has only one record left to take from another Steam game: Dota 2’s all-time peak which stands at just under 1.3 million players.

The figures can be seen on SteamCharts, among others. While Dota 2 still holds the record peak of 1.3 million players, Playerunkown’s Battlegrounds, also known as PUBG, is already the most popular game by day. For example, at the time of writing, Dota 2 has 620,000 players and PUBG 820,000. Battlegrounds has held that record for just under two weeks. As of late July, it has been the most popular non-Valve game on Steam, a record that was previously set by Fallout 4.
