Action platformer Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, created by the producer of Castlevania, is getting a mobile version. The Chinese NetEase is working with the Japanese ArtPlay on a port for Android and iOS. The game has previously been released for consoles and PC.

To make the game playable via the screen of smartphones, the interface is being adjusted. The developers say they will come up with a mechanism that should make it easy to perform special moves. The mobile version will also receive new achievements.

The game is being translated for various international markets and will be released as a one-time payment, the makers say in a press release. It is not yet known when the Android and iOS versions of the platform game will be released.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in June 2019. The game is considered the spiritual successor to Castlevania and is directed by Japanese Koji Igarashi, who previously worked on the Castlevania games at Konami. Bloodstained is funded through crowdfunding. In 2015, 5.5 million dollars was raised through Kickstarter.
