Pictures show housing HTC One A9
Images have surfaced online of what is believed to be the HTC One A9. The images show, among other things, that the smartphone maker has placed the speakers at the bottom. The device is likely to be announced later this month.
The images appeared via the Twitter account OnLeaks, a source that often has pictures of smartphones that have not yet been announced. It is probably the One A9, of which renders came out earlier. However, not all details could be seen on this: the photos make it clear that the speakers have moved to the bottom edge of the smartphone, while HTC still opted for speakers on the front with previous devices. There is a micro SD card slot on the side, but support for USB type-c is missing.
According to OnLeaks, the device shown is a dummy that must be displayed in stores. That indicates that HTC wants to release the smartphone soon. The official unveiling is expected on October 20; then the Taiwanese smartphone maker has planned an event. The One A9 should then be available in November, including in Europe.
Earlier rumors pointed to the presence of a Snapdragon 617-soc and a 5″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. On the back is a 13-megapixel camera, while on the front a fingerprint scanner is built. 16GB and 2GB respectively, while the battery has a capacity of 2150mAh.
