Pictures show Asus laptop with Ryzen 9 4900H CPU

Images of an Asus laptop with a Ryzen 9 4900H CPU have surfaced. This processor has not yet been officially announced. Presumably, the 4900H has 8 cores and 16 threads, just like the 4800H. However, the new CPU would have higher clock speeds.

The Ryzen 9 4900H is mentioned on a sticker on an Asus TUF laptop, images of which were published this week by VideoCardz. The Ryzen 9 4900H appears to be a CPU with 8 cores and 16 threads, just like the Ryzen 7 4800H. In addition, the boost clock with 4.2GHz seems identical. The tdp is also the same with 45W. Videocardz writes that the 4900H probably contains a better GPU, with eight processing units. The GPU in the Ryzen 7 4800H has seven.

Details about a suspected Ryzen 9 4900HS have already appeared earlier. This CPU would have a boost clock of 4.4GHz with a TDP of 35W, as well as a GPU with eight compute units. An image of a suspected Ryzen 9 4900U also appeared in February, Hardware.info writes. The specifications of these chips are still unknown. Ryzen CPUs in the U-series typically have a TDP of 15W to 25W and lower clock speeds than the processors in the H- and HS-series.

AMD announced its mobile Ryzen 4000 CPUs in January at CES in Las Vegas. The new processors use AMD’s Zen 2 cores on a 7nm process. This architecture is also used in the company’s current desktop CPUs. The first laptops with Ryzen 4000 CPUs are expected to hit the market in April.
