Pictures of Sonos Playbase soundbar appear online

Images of a Sonos Playbase have appeared on the internet. It seems to be a soundbar that users can place under their TV. The model was briefly for sale at an online store for a price of $ 699.

Sonos itself has not yet announced anything about the Playbase, but images of the speaker appeared on Twitter. A product page was briefly online at US retailer B&H, and FCC data confirms a product with that name is on the way. From the information it can be deduced that it is a soundbar with optical output and an Ethernet port.

The speaker likely supports connection to other Sonos speakers and may receive support for control via Amazon’s Alexa when paired with an Amazon Echo or Fire TV, Engadget writes. The white soundbar should appear in March according to B&H, for a price of $ 699. It is not the first soundbar from Sonos. The company also has the Playbar in its range for a similar price.
