Pictures of GoPro Hero 9 appear before official release

Images have been put online of the suspected GoPro Hero 9. The device, which is likely to replace the Hero8, has a color screen on the front, which the manufacturer is probably targeting with vloggers.

GoPro hasn’t officially announced the Hero 9 yet, but images of the camera appeared via the WinFuture.de website. The manufacturer seems to have kept the housing of the Hero 9 roughly the same as the predecessor, with the difference that a color screen is built into the housing next to the camera module on the front. Furthermore, little is known about the specifications.

With the Hero 9, GoPro is likely to target vloggers and people looking to take selfies. The screen on the front makes it easier for them to see what they are filming. It also remains possible to view the image via the larger screen at the back.

Because GoPro itself has not yet released anything about the suspected Hero 9, it is not yet known when it should be released. However, given the leakage of official-looking images, a release seems likely in the short term. Nothing is known about the price either.
