Pictures and specs of smaller, cheaper LG G4 appear online
LG may be working on a cheaper, smaller variant of its G4 smartphone. The G4 S would be equipped with a 5.2 “screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The G4 S is very similar in design to the plastic variant of the G4.
This puts the G4 S between the current G4 and the cheaper 5 “phone G4c. The processor is an octacore at 1.5GHz, reports Hi-Tech Mail.ru, which put the information online. Because LG often works with Qualcomm, there is a good chance that it is a Snapdragon 615-soc, with Adreno 405-gpu.
The design is very reminiscent of that of the G4, although there is an LG logo on the back of the G4 S and no G4 logo, as with the G4. Other than that, the changes are minor. The G4 S also seems to have a slight curvature, something that with the G4, according to LG, ensures that the screen breaks less quickly when dropped.
LG would like to present the G4 S in a few weeks. A price has not yet been announced. It is also unknown whether and when the device will come to the Benelux.
