Photos show suspected prototype Huawei P20 smartphone
Photos have emerged of what would be a prototype of the successor to the Huawei P10, which would be called P11 or P20. The photos raise many questions. For example, the volume buttons on the housing of the device are missing.
There are more elements missing on the prototype of which Android Authority has published the photos. In addition to the third camera that the device would have, the 3.5mm jack is missing on the housing. Huawei made its first smartphone without the analog audio connection with the Mate 10 Pro, but the regular Mate 10 and all Huawei models that have appeared since then have the jack on board again. In addition, the housing does not appear to have volume buttons, which all smartphones have had for years. There is also no fingerprint scanner.
What is also missing are the markings that can often be found on prototypes and that make it clear who the prototype belongs to. For example, a manufacturer can find out exactly where the leak is when photos are leaked. The photos also do not show stickers that are often over the codes in prototypes. In addition, next to the camera is the Leica logo, which is often not the case with Huawei prototypes.
The question is which variant of the P11 or P20 smartphone is involved. Huawei has planned an event for March 27, where the manufacturer will showcase its next high-end smartphones. The manufacturer will hold a press conference on Sunday, prior to the Mobile World Congress telecom fair, but reportedly does not present its latest smartphones there.
