Photos show more rounded design successor HTC One
Photos have appeared again of the successor to the HTC One. The images show a more rounded design of the aluminum phone. A owner of a prototype of the device, a moderator of XDA Developers, claims that the photos are real.
Although the phone in the photos, which HTCFamily_ru on Twitter put, just as the HTC One seems to be made of aluminum, there are big differences with HTC’s main device from 2013. The device does not seem to have sharp corners but only curves and the corners are also more rounded than HTC has used so far.
The front is less different from the current HTC One: it has the same speakers on the front and although the buttons have been moved to the screen, HTC has kept the bar below the screen with its logo, if these photos appear to represent the final design .
The photos show similarities with previous images of the device: both devices have two camera lenses and a dual-LED flash. In addition, elements, such as the microphone on the back, are in the same location. It could be that there are several variant prototypes for the same device.
An owner of a prototype of the ‘M*8’, as the aircraft is still known today, say that the photos are real. This moderator of XDA-Developers also reports that the device has space for a microSD card. Furthermore, this design is most in line with the hints that the manufacturer has put online: recently the manufacturer has tweeted about the advantages of curves.
At least four versions of the successor to the HTC One have now appeared online. It is unclear whether HTC has made several prototypes that have all been leaked or whether fans have made advanced fakes for other unknown devices.
HTC will probably release the successor to the One within a few months. It is unclear when the presentation will be: the manufacturer has not yet sent the invitations.
