Photos show Huawei phone with 18:9 screen and two dual cameras
Photos of what would become a Huawei dual-camera phone have surfaced. Both secondary cameras have a resolution of two megapixels and are presumably only intended to see depth and thus add effects.
The phone will be named Maimang 6 and is part of a Chinese series of smartphones from the manufacturer. In Europe it could be released as the G10, GSM Arena reports. The phone has a 6″ screen with an 18:9 ratio and a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The housing measures 15.6×7.5cm.
The soc is most likely a Kirin 960 from Huawei’s HiSilicon division. The Chinese approval authority Tenaa mentions a maximum clock speed of 2.36GHz, which corresponds to the clock speed of the Cortex A73 cores in the 960. That soc is also in the Mate 9 and P10 from Huawei.
The cameras on the back have a resolution of sixteen and two megapixels, while on the front there are cameras of thirteen and two megapixels. Huawei will hold an event for the announcement of the smartphone on September 22.
