Photos show Gigabyte motherboard with Intel H370 chipset
Photos have surfaced online of a Gigabyte Aorus motherboard with the new Intel H370 chipset. Presumably, the functionality is largely the same as the Z370 chipset, but cannot be overclocked.
The photos of the Gigabyte H370 Aorus Gaming 3 Wifi motherboard have been put online by Hardwareluxx. After publication, the article was removed, but it can still be seen via Google’s cache. The inscription on the box and the motherboard indicates that it is an H370 motherboard.
Exact details about the differences between the H370 and Z370 chipset are not yet known, but presumably the chipsets are largely the same and the H370 variant lacks the ability to overclock. However, there are also rumors of integration of a usb 3.1 gen2 controller and wifi in the new chipset.
Intel is expected to present the H370 chipset along with the H310 and B360 chipsets sometime in early April. These chipsets should make their way into cheaper motherboards than the current Z370 models. Along with the new chipsets, new Coffee Lake CPUs are also expected.
