A Twitter user has shared photos of an alleged Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 video card. Presumably it concerns the Founder’s Edition of Nvidia itself. The video card would get a triple slot design.

The images, which are divided by Twitter user GarnetSunset, show the possible RTX 3090 video card alongside an RTX 2080 Founder’s Edition. The upcoming video card will have two fans, which are placed respectively on the front and back of the cooler. The video card would also take up three slots. Earlier this year photos appeared of an alleged RTX 3080 Founder’s Edition video card with a similar cooler. However, that model had a dual lock design. There is still a battle to be taken, as Nvidia itself has not yet shared official information about its upcoming video cards.

GarnetSun publishes photos of the front and back of the RTX 3090, on which the upcoming video card appears larger than the RTX 2080. However, the RTX 3090’s pci-e slot appears larger than that of the RTX 2080, due to the triple slot. design is closer to the camera. This may make the RTX 3090 cooler appear in the photos bigger than it actually is.

The same Twitter user also claims that the RTX 3090 will have a possible suggested retail price of $ 1400, while the RTX 3080, 3070 and 3060 variants should cost $ 800, 600 and 400 respectively. However, it is not clear what the Twitterer is basing this information on and it is not known whether Nvidia itself has already set definitive recommended prices for its RTX 3000 line-up. This information should therefore also be taken with a grain of salt.

Furthermore, there is little information about the possible RTX 3090 video card. Earlier this month, memory manufacturer Micron published a document stating that the RTX 3090 has 12GB of gddr6x memory with a speed of up to 21Gbit / s. Other rumors state that the video card would have a maximum of 24GB of video memory. Nvidia will host a live stream on Tuesday, September 1. Chances are, the manufacturer will announce its upcoming GeForce video cards on that date.
