Photos of Sony Xperia XZ and X Compact appear online

The press photos of the Sony Xperia XZ and the X Compact have appeared online early. It is striking that both smartphones seem to have multiple sensors, but their functionality is not yet clear.

Website Xperiablog has put the press photos of the new Xperia devices online. The photos do not provide insight into the specifications, but do show a striking row of sensors on both devices. In addition to the camera on the back, there is a module with at least a flash, but also a number of other features. Laser autofocus may have been processed here, or Sony may use other sensors, such as a depth sensor. It doesn’t seem to involve multiple cameras.

The photos also show a case with a transparent front and a USB-C connection. Earlier, a photo of the Xperia Compact leaked and Sony confirmed the names of the devices on its own website. It is expected that Sony will officially announce the smartphones on Thursday afternoon during its press conference at the IFA.
