Photos of Samsung’s Galaxy View with 18.4″ screen appear online
Sammobile has obtained photos of the as yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy View, which has an 18.4 “screen and a stand. The Korean manufacturer calls it a “mobile device”. It is not clear whether the stand can be disconnected.
The marketing material that Sammobile has published shows that the Galaxy View will be equipped with a curved stand, which has a handle. This may be a dock that can be disconnected. However, Samsung itself does not talk about a tablet, the photos show that Samsung recommends the View as a ‘portable device’. Judging by the photos, the View runs on Android.
There have been indications for some time that the Galaxy View will be officially announced in October. Samsung showed a glimpse of the device in a video during the Gear S2 smartwatch launch. The device also appeared in the GFXBenchmark database, from which it was concluded that the View will have a full-HD screen and is equipped with an Exynos 7 Octa-soc, assisted by a Mali T720 GPU. Information about the device’s dimensions and connectivity has also been featured in an FCC approval report.
