Images have again surfaced online of what could be the successor to the Motorola Moto X. The device, the alleged X+1, has a wood-like back and an aluminum edge.

At least that’s what AndroidPolice claims. He got photos into the hands of an anonymous tipster, who says he has one of the last prototypes. The images show that the device has a wood-like back, which is presumably made of plastic. In addition, the alleged prototype shows an aluminum bezel and there is a speaker at the bottom of the screen and one near the earphone jack.

Contrary to previous reports, the presumed successor to the Moto X reportedly has a 5.1 “screen and, according to the source of AndroidPolice, should do without a micro-SD slot. There are two LEDs on the back. flashes for taking photos, the tipster claims.Unconfirmed sources further indicate that the successor will get a 12-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. 32GB storage memory and a battery with a capacity of 2900mAh.

The reliability of the photos of the tipster from AndroidPolice is currently difficult to determine. The design does show some similarities with the images that previously appeared of the device, although it may have been a different prototype. At that time, too, little concrete information was known. In any case, it is certain that there will be a successor to the Moto X, because Motorola had previously accidentally put the Moto X + 1 on its site. The ad only showed the price of $400, so further details are not known.
