The manufacturer promised to announce the device at CES in the summer and said that the smartphone will be available worldwide and will cost less than five hundred dollars. The company will announce the device during the Lenovo Tech World event, which will take place on Thursday.

Google has developed the Project Tango technology in collaboration with Intel, among others. The technology gives smartphones and tablets the opportunity to get a three-dimensional impression of their environment, thanks to additional camera sensors and a depth sensor.

Several developer kits with Project Tango have already appeared, including a 7-inch tablet from Google, but Lenovo is the first manufacturer to launch a consumer product with the technology.
