Photos of Huawei P9 smartphone with two cameras appear online
Photos have appeared of the Huawei P9, which has two cameras on the back. According to the leaked specifications, the device has a 5.2 “screen with full HD resolution and the smartphone contains a Kirin 950 octacore soc.
The photos and specs were published by Evan Blass on VentureBeat. He says he got the information from someone who could try the Huawei P9. The device is said to have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of flash memory. Furthermore, the photos show a fingerprint scanner on the back of the metal housing. The battery would have a capacity of 3900mAh, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 and has a USB-C connection.
Huawei previously made a dual-camera smartphone, and as with that Honor 6 Plus, the dual-lens configuration on the P9 should allow for features like post-focusing. It would be an improved version of the technology and the two 12-megapixel sensors would be equipped with a Leica lens. The camera manufacturer and Huawei recently announced a partnership.
Earlier, Blass announced that Huawei will release four variations of the P9. The device in the photos would be the regular P9 and the expectation is that there will be a Premium variant with a Kirin 955-soc, 4GB ram and more storage space. In addition, a cheaper ‘Lite’ model would appear, just like the current Huawei P8 Lite. The fourth model is probably a larger variant such as the P8 Max, but Huawei may call this model the P9 Plus.
