Photos of AMD Radeon R9 295X2 appear online
Photos of the AMD Radeon R9 295X2 have surfaced online. The manufacturer would present the video card with two Hawaii Pro GPUs next week. More details of the upcoming video card have also been released.
The data comes from a post on the Chiphell forum. The data would show that the R9 295X2, codenamed Vesuvius, has 5632 steam processors on board. The video card has 4-8GB GDDR5 memory. AMD would have opted for a high-end cooling system with liquid cooling, similar to the Ares II: a dual-Gpu card from Asus.
The tdp would be around 375W, the same as the HD7990 that came out last year. The announcement was supposed to take place on April 8, but actual availability would follow a week later. AMD has hinted to various sites in recent weeks that a new Radeon with two GPUs is on the way. The R9 295X2 would cost $1500.
