Photos have appeared of the Pixel 3, the smaller of two smartphones that Google would like to release this fall. The device has a 5.5″ screen with an 18:9 ratio and no notch. The larger Pixel 3 XL has such a notch.

The photos, which appeared on the Pixel subreddit, show a smartphone with an 18:9 screen and a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. Such a screen is as wide as a 16:9 screen of 5″, the screen ratio and diagonal of the Pixel 2 and the first Google Pixel. As a result, it seems that the American company has not made its small smartphone bigger. The source of the photos mentions that it is a test device at a provider.

The photos also include screenshots with system information. This would show that the Pixel 3 has a dual front camera, with both cameras having a maximum resolution of eight megapixels. Little else is known about the smaller version of the Pixel 3.

The larger version, the Pixel 3 XL, has been extensively leaked in recent weeks and months. Reportedly, a shipment of those phones from the Foxconn factories ended up prematurely at an Eastern European dealer. He subsequently sold or provided it to many bloggers, resulting in extensive previews.

Google has not yet announced an event to showcase both phones. According to recent rumors, that will happen on October 9 in New York.
