The Chinese approval authority Tenaa has published photos of the OnePlus 2. No images had appeared until now. OnePlus will announce the new device next week at its own event.

The photos on the site of Tenaa, a Chinese inspection body through which pictures and specs of phones are published much more often, show that the OnePlus 2 does not offer a radical change in design compared to the OnePlus One. For example, there is still a rear that resembles the plastic ‘sandstone’ back of the One, while the layout is also largely the same. It is not visible whether the edge is made of metal, for example.

The images also show a camera with a double LED flash. Underneath is another opening, presumably for the laser autofocus function that is in the device. OnePlus previously announced that its second smartphone will have a 13-megapixel camera on the back.

A button can be seen on the front, although it is unknown whether it is a real button or just a fingerprint scanner. OnePlus has also already announced that the 2 has a Snapdragon 810-soc, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device will also have a USB-C port. Other details are not yet known. Tenaa has not posted a list of specifications, something it usually does. OnePlus will announce the OnePlus 2 next Tuesday.
