Photos app Windows 11 gets support for iCloud photos sync

The Photos app in Windows 11 will receive support for iCloud Photos sync in November. The feature is currently being tested through the Windows Insider program and will be rolled out to regular Windows 11 users next month, according to Microsoft.

To activate the feature, Windows 11 users must download the iCloud app from the Microsoft Store. Then they have to according to Microsoft enable iCloud Photos sync via the app. Users of the Windows Insider program can already test the feature, the company says. It’s not clear whether the functionality will also come to Windows 10’s Photos app in the future.
