Photos and specifications of Motorola Moto E3 with MediaTek soc leak out
New photos and specifications have been published of the Moto E3, the new budget device from Motorola. This would show that the smartphone will receive a MediaTek soc. Earlier, the manufacturer announced that it is a 5″ device with 720p resolution.
The manufacturer’s first glimpse of the device in mid-July revealed little about the exact specifications. TechDroider has now published more photos and claims to have more specs in hand. According to the website, the Moto E3 weighs about 140 grams, the device is 8.55 mm thick and the housing is finished with a water-repellent coating.
The device would be equipped with a MediaTek quad-core soc at 1GHz. The exact type number of the chipset used is not yet known. Earlier it turned out that the device will get 2GB of RAM. It is now also known that there is 8GB of storage space, with the possibility to expand it with a micro-SD card.
The budget device runs on Android 6.0, has an eight-megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and a five-megapixel variant on the front. The smartphone supports 4G and has a battery with a capacity of 2800mAh. The specifications of the Moto E3 seem to match those of the Moto G4 Play. However, that device has a Snapdragon 410-soc.
It was previously reported that the device would be released in September, TechDroider claims that the Moto E3 will be on sale from August. In the UK, the device will have a suggested retail price of £99, a suggested euro retail price has not yet been announced. The comparable G4 Play would appear around the same time for £130.
