Photo shows presumed successor Moto G4 Plus with smaller screen
A photo has appeared online that may show the successor to the Moto G4 Plus from Lenovo. According to the sticker in the picture, the device has a screen of 5.2″, which is smaller than the 5.5″ display of the G4 Plus.
The photo appeared on the Google+ account of a Brazilian IT manager who claimed to have seen the device before. The sticker resembles the stickers that Motorola has been putting on new devices for years, showing some of the most important functions in circles.
The sticker mentions a 5.2″ screen with full HD resolution, octacore processor at 2GHz, a fingerprint scanner and a battery with fast charging and a capacity of 3000mAh. According to previous rumors, the octacore processor is a Snapdragon 625 from Qualcomm, a soc which Lenovo continues to use in the Moto Z Play and Lenovo P2.
Furthermore, the sticker speaks of a twelve-megapixel camera with fast focus. German tech journalist Roland Quandt of WinFuture spoke rather from a Sony IMX362 with phase-detection autofocus, 4k video and a lens with an f/1.7 aperture. Previously, a suspected Moto G5 Plus appeared on a Romanian site with a 5.5 “screen. It is probably different variants of the same phone.
Lenovo has planned an event ahead of the Mobile World Congress telecom show, which will take place in Barcelona in three weeks. The manufacturer has already announced that the press conference on Sunday will be devoted to new Moto products. It has been rumored for some time that the smartphone maker would show the successors of the Moto G4 and G4 Plus there.
