Photo shows Motorola Shamu that would model for Nexus 6
A photo of a large Motorola device has appeared on the internet, of which rumors are circulating that it is the new Nexus phone from Google. The Motorola Shamu, as the device would be called, does contain the Motorola logo.
The image appeared on XDA-Developers and picked up by 9to5Google, which published a similar mock-up of and details about the Nexus 6 on Thursday. The smartphone labeled ‘Shamu’ is a lot bigger than an LG G3, which would confirm the reports about 5.92 “screen.
It is striking, however, that the Shamu has a Motorola logo. The Nexus 6 may be a variant of the Shamu without that logo, but it could also be that it is only a new Motorola device. Reports that a device with the name Shamu will be the new Nexus has been going around for some time, and the back cover has also appeared in photos.
On Thursday, the message appeared that the Nexus 6 will have a 5.92 “screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. In addition, 3GB memory and 32GB storage memory would be present and the soc would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805. Incidentally, there are also indications that there is a 5 .2” variant of a new Nexus is on the way.
