Photo of Nikon D5600 SLR camera appears online
Nikon is likely to announce the D5600 SLR camera soon. A photo of the dslr has appeared on Japanese websites. The differences with the current D5500 are rumored to be small; the new model would get SnapBridge and an improved sensor.
Outwardly, the D5600 hardly seems to differ from the D5500, which Nikon released at the beginning of 2015. In turn, that camera was slightly changed from the D5300, which was announced in late 2013. The camera has a tilting screen and it is probably a touchscreen, just like the predecessor. According to NikonRumors, the D5600 will have a wider dynamic range, like the Nikon D7200, which came on the market last year. Nikon may use the 24-megapixel sensor from that camera for the D5600.
The device is also likely to receive SnapBridge support, a function for making a connection between the camera and an Android or iOS device. Nikon’s technology uses WiFi when sending files, but switches to an economical Bluetooth connection when no photos need to be sent. It is then still possible to send GPS coordinates from a smartphone to the camera, so that they can be put in photos taken.
Digicame info has put the photo online. The Japanese website regularly publishes images of unannounced cameras just days before the official launch. The Japanese Nokishita blog also reports prices. In Japan, the device without a lens would cost 91,800 yen, converted about 803 euros. The device will also be bundled with the AF-P 18-55mm VR lens, for 99,900 yen, which is about 873 euros.
