Sigma will probably soon introduce a 20 mm f/1.4 lens in the Art series. A photo of the bright wide-angle for full-frame cameras has leaked. Sigma usually releases its Art lenses first for Canon and Nikon DSLRs.
Digicame info regularly leaks product photos and specifications just before the release of new camera equipment. This time, the Japanese website managed to get hold of a photo with information about the Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art.
It can be concluded from the name that it is a lens for full-frame DSLRs, just like the other Sigma DG Art lenses such as the 24mm, 35mm and 50mm f/1.4. According to the leaked specifications, the optical design consists of eleven groups with fifteen elements and Sigma is said to use a large double-sided aspherical lens element. In addition, there are seven other special elements present.
The lens will probably be 13 cm long and will weigh 950 grams. Digicame info also already knows a Japanese price to report, the suggested retail price would be 162,000 yen and the retail price would be 120,000 yen at the lowest. Converted that is about 1187 and 879 euros.
