Photo may show Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S with fingerprint scanner behind screenscanner

A photo has appeared online that may show the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s. The device seems to have a fingerprint scanner behind the screen. Xiaomi recently announced that the device will be announced on March 27 and will receive a Snapdragon 845 soc.

The photo that was put online by the Chinese Mydrivers shows a device with a screen that runs almost completely through both the top and bottom. An icon of a fingerprint can be seen on the screen, which may indicate that the device has a fingerprint scanner behind the screen. The front camera would be in the top right corner.

If Xiaomi wants to give the Mi Mix 2s a fingerprint scanner behind the screen, the manufacturer should probably use an OLED panel. At the end of January, Vivo released the first phone with a fingerprint scanner behind the screen in China. That device, the X20 Plus UD, uses Synaptics’ Clear ID FS9500 fingerprint scanner.
