Photo editing software Apple Aperture no longer works in macOS versions after Mojave
Apple’s Aperture software no longer works in macOS versions newer than Mojave. This will bring the program to an end this year. Apple will end support for Aperture in 2014.
On its support website, Apple provides tips for transferring Aperture libraries to alternatives such as Apple Photos or Adobe Lightroom. In a statement, the company announced that Aperture will no longer work in macOS versions after Mojave, due to technical reasons.
Apple doesn’t say exactly why Aperture will stop working after a future update. Apple ended support for its advanced photo-editing suite in 2014, and five major updates to the operating system have since appeared. However, Aperture continued to work.
Aperture was aimed at professional photographers and was replaced by the simpler Photos application. In 2015, Apple finally removed Aperture from its download store.
