Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy Coming to Consoles and PC
The first three games in the Ace Attorney series will be released for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No release date has been set yet, but the trilogy will be released in early 2019.
Capcom announces the news in an announcement trailer. It emerges that the trilogy will be an HD version of the original games. The HD trilogy was already released in 2013 for Android and iOS. A year later, the bundle came to the Nintendo 3DS.
The Ace Attorney series consists of visual novellas that deal with the cases defended by Phoenix Wright, a young lawyer. Wright is also a playable character in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. In Ace Attorney, the player investigates himself, collects evidence and presents what he has found in court. In the meantime, he must try to correct the errors in the confessions of the witnesses. The series has a few spin-off games, including a few that follow Wright’s famed adversary, Miles Edgeworth.
The first game in the trilogy, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, was released in October 2001 for the Gameboy Advance. The following year, Justice for All followed. In 2004 the last part, Trials and Tribulations, was released. The games have had individual re-releases on the Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and Windows.
