Philips expands Hue line with dimmer

Philips comes with a new dimmer in its Hue line together with a Hue White lamp. Unlike the other Hue products, the Hue Bridge is not necessary and it is not necessary to download the Philips Hue app to operate the whole thing.

The whole works without any further settings. After connecting to the power supply, the remote control and lamp make direct contact with each other. The dimmer can be used as a dimmer as well as a normal light button. The ‘dimmer’ consists of a base plate and a dimmer, so that the dimmer can be used as a wall switch or as a remote control. The lamp has an E27 connection and draws a maximum of 9.5 watts. The light temperature is 2700K and the maximum light output is 806 lumens.

The switch can control up to ten Hue lamps simultaneously and works with all other products from the Hue product line, according to Philips. The dimmer is available as a set together with a white Hue lamp for 39.95 euros.
