It will be at least another five years before The Elder Scrolls 6 is released. This is what Xbox CEO Phil Spencer said during the Federal Trade Commission’s lawsuit against Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

During the trial, Phil Spencer was asked which platforms The Elder Scrolls VI will be released on, writes IGN. The Xbox head states that this is still unclear, partly because the game is so far away that it is not clear at all which platforms will be available by then. “The game is being made by the same team that is currently putting the finishing touches on Starfield. So we’re talking about a game that’s probably five-plus years away.”

In a 2021 interview, Spencer seemed to confirm that The Elder Scrolls VI will not be released for a PlayStation console in any case. According to The Verge However, he now states that he no longer knows. “I believed it to be true when I said it, but I don’t remember any public statement now.”

The Elder Scrolls 6 will be the sequel to 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Bethesda announced the game back in 2018 through a short teaser, but no further details about the game have been given so far.
