PC gamers can now import the levels from Hitman 1 and 2 into Hitman 3, if they own all those games. For that, users need to link their Steam and Epic Games account. Developer IO Interactive previously promised to make this possible.

The Danish developer has put a step-by-step plan on its website for importing the locations of the first two Hitman games into Hitman 3. The new game is currently only available in the Epic Games Store and the two older parts are on Steam. To load the old levels in the new game, linking the accounts of those game stores is required.

At the initial announcement of Hitman 3 last year, IO Interactive said it would be possible to import the levels from the earlier installments into the new game. At the beginning of this year, the Danish developer said that this would not be possible with the PC version, but after criticism, those statements were withdrawn and it was promised to make the transfer of the locations possible in ‘the coming weeks’. A month after making that promise, the developer has fulfilled it.

By importing the levels from the older games into the new game, they can be played with the graphical improvements of Hitman 3. IO Interactive also introduced the same possibility with Hitman 2, where the locations of Hitman 1 could be played in an improved form.
