The game PC Building Simulator was already available for PC and is now also out for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As the name suggests, it is a simulator where players can assemble and build their own PC.

Developer The Irregular Corporation explains that there is more or less a story or a career mode in the console version, where it is up to the player to take control in an uncle’s PC repair shop. Orders are received via the office computer and as soon as customers have delivered their broken PCs, it is important to clean the computers, remove viruses, upgrade the memory, apply thermal paste or replace a CPU.

In addition to this repair part, there is also a Free Build mode, in which a PC can be built to your liking. Thousands of real-life parts are available for this from manufacturers such as NZXT, Cooler Master and Fractal Design. The necessary options are also available for water cooling and programmable LEDs, cable management options, overclocking options and case modding are also included. After building a PC, benchmarks can be run in 3DMark. In addition, there is a ‘How to Build a PC’ mode, where users can learn more about components and building a PC.

PC Building Simulator doesn’t seem to differ much from the PC version, which has been available as a Steam Early Access title since March of last year. The simulator already appeared as an alpha version before that. The console version will cost eighteen euros, but will be for sale in the coming days for more than sixteen euros.
