PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ major PC 1.0 patch will be available on test servers starting Tuesday morning. Among other things, this patch introduces the vaulting system, which allows players to climb and jump over obstacles and through windows.

This test version can be tried from 03:00 in the morning of November 14. According to the creator of the game stay the test servers will be open to players for at least a day. Players may experience crashing clients during these testing sessions. According to the developer, the current build is not yet completely stable, but it is important to give players the opportunity to test the innovations.

In addition to the addition of the ability to jump through windows, for example, the changed ballistic system is an important innovation. Bullets and projectiles fired are now more affected by air resistance, according to the official patch notes. As a result, they lose more speed and are more likely to show a descending trajectory over longer distances.

Furthermore, the larger sights of rifles now have a variable zoom mechanism, which can be operated with the scroll wheel of the mouse. Adjustments have also been made so that it matters more where an opponent is hit. The neck is now protected by the helmet, while a hit at chest height deals more damage. Other noticeable changes are the adjustments to vehicles, which should make driving with vehicles more realistic, among other things. Finally, server optimizations are implemented.

The team behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has not said when PC 1.0 will be finally available. The PC 1.0 version should have been available on test servers earlier, but it was delayed due to an undisclosed issue. In principle, this new version should appear at the end of December.
