PayPal fires CEO after statements on Twitter

PayPal has fired Rakesh Agrawal, who recently joined the company as its strategy director. His resignation was prompted by a series of insulting messages to other PayPal employees on Twitter.

paypal confirmed itself that it fired Agrawal, also in a message on Twitter. The company maintains a ‘zero tolerance’ policy regarding disrespect towards people. Agrawal insulted two other Paypal employees on Twitter, but the messages in question have since been removed. Well offered the ex-CEO after his tirade apologizes to PayPal CEO David Marcus.

Agrawal was responsible for setting out the company’s strategy at PayPal. The CEO had only been employed by the payment provider for just under two months. It is still unclear what exactly was the reason for his series of offensive messages on Twitter.
