Patriot Announces 2TB Ignite SSD

Patriot adds a new SSD in the Ignite line to its range: a 2TB version should be released at the end of this year. This makes it the SSD with the highest storage capacity in Patriot’s high-end line of SSDs with a Phison controller.

Patriot introduced the Ignite line of SSDs in January last year, releasing models with 480GB and 960GB, followed by a 240GB SSD. According to the manufacturer, a 2TB version will be added in the fourth quarter.

The 2.5 “ssd has a controller from Phison, the 32-bit S10 quadcore, and there is a sata600 interface. The sequential read and write speeds are respectively 560MB/s and 500MB/s. The Ignite can handle it. with all Windows versions from XP and also with recent OS X and Linux operating systems.Patriot has not yet announced more details.
