Party Chat for Xbox Coming to Android and iOS

Microsoft has updated the Xbox mobile app for Android and iOS with the party chat feature. With this, Xbox Live users can now keep in touch with contacts on the go via text and voice.

This chat feature is only available to those users who have an Xbox Live subscription and are signed in to the service. Party Chat on Xbox Live allows you to chat with multiple contacts regardless of which game or team they are on.

To use the chat service, gamers in the app have to navigate to the section called ‘parties’, after which users can start a party and the various chat functions for text and voice become available.

Last December, the Xbox party chat beta was made available for Android and iOS. The party chat feature was previously limited to the app on the Xbox console or the Windows 10 version of the Xbox app.
