The parent company of CD-ROM-land is discontinuing the brand. Sister brand Megekko has become much more popular, so the computer store store is turning into a Megekko pop-up store, the company says.

CD-ROM Country vouchers will remain valid until the end of the year, the company said. Customers with products under warranty can contact Megekko. The webshop of CD-ROM-land will cease to exist. The branch in Breda will remain open as a pop-up store, where customers can also pick up packages from Megekko. This is practical, because the logistics center of Megekko is located in the same city.

CD-ROM-land has been around since 1993 and has had a webshop since 2009. The reason for the disappearance is the lack of popularity of the brand. Sister brand Megekko has grown much larger in recent years; it processed 530,000 orders in the past year with a total value of 145 million euros, the company says.
