Paradigit restarts with three stores
Paradigit will remain active with three computer stores, in addition to its web store. This concerns the largest branches in Eindhoven, Utrecht and Maastricht. The continuation is the result of a restart that Paradigit is making in a slimmed-down form.
The relaunch concerns the three largest stores in Eindhoven, Utrecht and Maastricht and the distribution center in Eindhoven. The physical stores will become an ‘extension of the online strategy’, says Arjen de Koning, founder and owner of Paradigit.
It was already known that the webshop was not loss-making and continued. With the restart agreed on Tuesday, the jobs of 100 employees have been saved, reports Paradigit. The group had 208 employees, which means that more than half of the restart means no job retention. Nine stores are also closing permanently and five small Paradigit shops in V&D branches are also not opening, also because the department stores themselves will remain closed for at least weeks.
The relaunch also ensures that the customer’s product warranty is taken over. “For all
customers can therefore permanently visit Paradigit.nl and in our stores in
Eindhoven, Utrecht and Maastricht,” said De Koning.
Last week it was announced that the Paradigit was forced to close stores due to persistent poor financial results. The stores suffered losses, but the web store was profitable. The sister companies Skool and ISL Automatisering were also not covered by the bankruptcy.
