‘Paid version YouTube gets exclusive videos’

Google plans to provide a future paid version of YouTube with exclusive videos. Anyone who wants to see the videos must therefore take out a subscription. There have been rumors of a paid version of YouTube for quite some time now.

According to Re/code, which is known to have sources at Google, there are plans to stop making all videos available for free, as is currently the case. There is no official confirmation, but Google would like to make the plans public on October 21. Then the company holds an event in Los Angeles.

The so-called premium videos are said to be made by popular video producers, although details about the exact offer are lacking. Earlier rumors indicated that Google was working on a subscription service that would show videos ad-free. The internet company is said to have asked its creators to participate in this program. According to some reports, creators are even forced to participate, otherwise they would be banned from the video platform.

There have been several rumors about a YouTube video subscription service. Earlier, Google already came with Music Key, a paid version of the video service that is specifically intended for music videos.
