Microsoft is working on a fix for the Outlook desktop app. According to the company, some users of that app may no longer be able to send emails because their email box contains more than 500 subfolders.

The company is currently looking for a solution to the problem, but has published some workarounds. Users with more than 500 subfolders would benefit from this according to Microsoft can already remove some of them to solve the problem. It is important that the number of subfolders is then less than 500.

According to Microsoft, users could also keep the folders collapsed to temporarily work around the problem. Users who cannot implement the above workarounds could also avoid the error message by not using certain online features in Outlook Search, such as the ‘View on Server’ option.
