Outlook gets support for Android Wear
Microsoft has updated its Android application, allowing notifications to be displayed on Android Wear smartwatches. It is also possible to answer incoming e-mails via the smart watch.
The new functionality comes in the form of a software update to users of the Android application. It is also possible to manually install the application via Google Play, although it is possible that due to the phased rollout, the new version is not yet visible to everyone.
According to Microsoft, after installing the new app, notifications of new emails will arrive on the smartwatch, if it runs on Android Wear. Users can therefore read their e-mails on the wrist, but it is also possible to send replies: there are a number of quick, pre-programmed replies, but it is also possible to record answers yourself.
Support for Android Wear has been delayed for some time. In August last year, Microsoft already released an application for the Apple Watch.
