Otherside Entertainment has shown footage of System Shock 3 for the first time. It is a short teaser video, which was shown during the Unity Keynote at the Game Developer Conference 2019. The game has been in development since 2015.

The short teaser doesn’t show much, but it probably includes footage shot in the game engine. It is the first time that the developer shows images of the game that was announced in 2015.

Warren Spector, the producer of the first System Shock game and of Deus Ex, is involved in the development of the third installment. Otherside Entertainment recently bought back the publishing rights from Starbreeze, the Swedish company that invested 11 million euros in the development two years ago.

The first System Shock game came out in 1994 and part two came out in 1999. They are cyberpunk themed action RPGs and they were well received at the time. The games are seen as classics within the genre. A release date for the third part has not yet been announced.
