Ori and the Will of the Wisps has been postponed to March 11
The release of Ori and the Will of the Wisps has been delayed to March 11. Microsoft is releasing the platform game from developer Moon Studios a month later than previously planned. The game is the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest from 2015.
Microsoft and Moon Studios say the additional development time will allow them to provide Ori fans with “the best gameplay experience possible.” The developer has also released a new trailer, which offers a brief look at the gameplay of the game. It features some of Ori’s enemies and new abilities, such as the ability to shoot arrows quite accurately and wield a sword.
The original, fairytale-like game was characterized by the beautiful, colorful forest world and the fact that you have quite a lot of freedom as a player with the white creature Ori. In order to progress, precision and timing are quite important in the many jumps, with wall jumps, double jumps and the bash ability characterizing the game. Ori and the Will of the Wisps builds on this.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, meaning the game can be played on both a Windows PC and Xbox One with a single purchase. The platform game, like Ori and the Blind Forest, will be part of the Xbox Game Pass and will also be available on Steam.
