Oppo will launch Reno Ace smartphone with 65W fast charging technology on October 10
Oppo will launch a new top model from the Reno series on October 10. Brian Shen, vice president of Oppo, reports this via the Chinese social network Weibo. The Reno Ace uses a new fast charging technology with a power of 65W.
Brian Shen reports that the Reno Ace will use a 65W fast charging technology. This is about 30 percent more power than SuperVOOC, Oppo’s current fast charging technology. The current technology charges phones with 50W, with which, according to Oppo, a battery of 3400mAh is fully charged in about 35 minutes.
Earlier, Shen hinted at the arrival of a high-end phone with a battery capacity of 4000mAh and a screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Shen probably meant the Reno Ace by this. He also hinted at the arrival of a new fast charging technology. This now appears to be the aforementioned 65W fast charging technology.
Presumably, the Reno Ace will feature a Snapdragon 855 Plus soc from Qualcomm. Oppo’s current top models, the Reno 10x Zoom and Reno 5G, include the regular Snapdragon 855. It is not clear whether the Reno Ace will support 5g connectivity. It is also unknown whether the phone will come to the Benelux.
